Essential Duties: Coordinate and oversee all inbound and outbound shipments to support production schedules, inventory requirements, and customer delivery commitments. Serve as the primary shipping and receiving subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to shipping personnel, warehouse staff, and cross-functional teams. Lead daily logistics activities, ensuring timely execution of shipping, receiving, material movement, and transportation functions. Schedule and manage carriers, freight providers, pickups, deliveries, export shipments, and dock appointments to optimize service levels and transportation efficiency. Monitor transportation performance metrics, analyze freight trends, and recommend improvements to reduce costs, improve service levels, and increase operational efficiency. Receive and verify raw materials, packaging materials, maintenance supplies, equipment, and vendor shipments against purchase orders, specifications, bills of lading, and shipping documentation. Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, inventory variances, freight claims, damaged materials, shortages, and customer delivery issues while coordinating corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Maintain ownership of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions within ERP and warehouse management systems, ensuring data accuracy and inventory integrity. Coordinate and prioritize shipment schedules to align with production plans, customer requirements, and inventory replenishment strategies. Prepare, review, and approve shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of analysis, export documentation, hazardous material paperwork, and customer-specific shipping requirements. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, international shipping regulations, import/export requirements, and company transportation policies. Act as the facility lead for hazardous material shipping activities, ensuring proper classification, packaging, labeling, documentation, and employee training compliance. Lead cycle counts, physical inventory activities, inventory reconciliations, and inventory accuracy initiatives to support operational excellence. Develop and maintain key shipping and logistics performance indicators, including on-time delivery, freight cost, inventory accuracy, dock utilization, carrier performance, and shipping cycle times.
