Location: Sylmar, CA – Onsite
Pay Rate: $50.00–$53.57/hr

This position will work with suppliers and internal teams to evaluate sourcing opportunities, analyze costs, mitigate supply-chain risks, track project performance, and support strategic procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage multiple supply-chain and procurement projects simultaneously.
• Support corporate programs involving supplier risk mitigation and supply-chain resilience.
• Analyze supplier quotes, bids, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Evaluate suppliers and recommend the best total-cost options.
• Source and evaluate mechanical and electrical vendors for medical device components.
• Lead or support contract negotiations and pricing discussions.
• Support supplier onboarding activities.
• Manage procurement requests, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
• Track project milestones, procurement timelines, risks, and cost savings.
• Support tariff mitigation strategies and identify second-sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ensure supplier activities align with internal quality systems and applicable industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing decisions, contracts, supplier performance, and project documentation.
• Develop project resources and support project phases including scope, charter, execution, escalation, implementation, and closure.
• Conduct risk analyses and develop supply-chain mitigation strategies.
• Assign project tasks, track schedules, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
• Develop and monitor project metrics and KPIs.
• Prepare project status reports and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
• Participate in project status meetings with internal teams and customers.
• Resolve project issues by coordinating with project team members, stakeholders, suppliers, and other appropriate parties.
• Break down complex procurement and supply-chain issues into clear, understandable information.
• Present data, analysis, and project findings to various levels of the organization, including senior management.
• Establish project priorities and work independently to meet schedules and objectives.
• Perform additional supply-chain and procurement-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, technical project management, finance, or related fields.
• Previous procurement and/or strategic sourcing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and data-processing skills.
• Experience with data visualization, reporting, and KPI development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate findings to senior/executive-level audiences.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple organizational functions.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Medical device manufacturing experience.
