Gemini Motor TransportWelcome to Loves: The Senior Fleet Maintenance Specialist is responsible for supporting the maintenance and compliance of the company's truck and trailer fleet through advanced maintenance analysis, vendor coordination, warranty administration, and regulatory compliance oversight. This role serves as a subject matter expert for fleet maintenance operations, helping ensure equipment reliability, cost-effective maintenance practices, and adherence to DOT and company standards. Job Functions: Serve as a subject matter expert for truck and trailer maintenance operations, preventive maintenance programs, and repair processes. Monitor truck and trailer maintenance activity through Fleetrock to ensure repairs are accurately documented, coded, and completed in a timely manner. Analyze maintenance histories, repair trends, and equipment performance data to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce costs. Review and approve maintenance invoices within established authority limits. Monitor preventive maintenance compliance and distribute recurring maintenance reports to support fleet operations. Coordinate and oversee warranty recovery efforts to maximize reimbursement opportunities and minimize maintenance expenses. Partner with vendors and repair facilities to resolve maintenance issues and ensure quality service delivery. Assist in onboarding and maintaining relationships with approved maintenance vendors. Monitor equipment replacement schedules and provide recommendations based on equipment condition, repair history, and maintenance costs. Support DOT compliance initiatives by maintaining accurate maintenance records and assisting with audits, inspections, and corrective actions. Partner with Risk Management to support loss recovery efforts and maintenance-related investigations. Develop and maintain maintenance reporting, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review. Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance maintenance efficiency, equipment uptime, and overall fleet performance. Support special projects and other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience and Qualifications: Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain, Fleet Management, or a related field preferred. Experience 5-7 years of fleet maintenance, transportation, or trucking industry experience. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Fleet Management, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred. Skills: Hard Skills: Advanced knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance operations. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and fleet compliance requirements. Proficient in Fleetrock and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to analyze maintenance data, trends, and cost performance metrics. Soft Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities. Effective coaching and employee development skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional partners. Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
