Sr. Category Manager – HR/Benefits

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Category Manager – HR/Benefits to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead strategic procurement efforts supporting HR and benefits-related categories, with a strong emphasis on sourcing, supplier management, and category strategy. The position partners closely with HR leadership and internal stakeholders to shape workforce-related purchasing decisions and improve business outcomes. It is well suited for a procurement professional who can combine analytical rigor, executive influence, and change leadership in a fast-paced environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $115,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Develop and execute multiyear category strategies aligned with business objectives Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFP execution and contract negotiations Manage key supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement efforts Directly supervise and mentor procurement team members Foster executive relationships with HR leaders to influence workforce strategies Utilize data analytics to improve procurement decision-making and stakeholder outcomes Champion change management to ensure procurement strategy adoption Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related fields 3+ years of direct leadership experience preferred Deep expertise in indirect procurement and category management Strong analytical skills with experience in digital procurement technologies Benefits Professional development opportunities Collaborative work environment Access to advanced procurement technologies Potential for flexible work arrangements Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
