Sr. Buye/Purchaser Specialist
Jindal Pipe USA IncJob Summary The Sr. Buyer / Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing raw materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost optimization, quality control, and timely delivery. This role acts as a primary liaison between the organization and its vendor network. Key Responsibilities Planning : Develop and execute procurement plans to optimize costs, maintain high-quality standards, and mitigate supply chain risks. Vendor Sourcing & Relations: Research and evaluate alternative suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed. Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distribution partners. Contract Negotiation: Solicit competitive bids, negotiate favorable terms, and finalize commercial purchase contracts to achieve cost-saving goals. Order Processing: Review and process purchase requisitions. Issue formal purchase orders (POs) through the company's ERP system (SAP). Inventory & Tracking: Monitor current stocking levels against demand forecasting. Track inbound logistics and address any supplier delivery delays. Financial Reconciliation: Audit and reconcile discrepancies between the original purchase orders, receiving logs, and vendor invoices before authorizing payment. Compliance & Quality: Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards, while addressing defective or delayed shipments. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or supply chain management preferred. Experience: 8-10years of relevant experience in a purchasing or corporate procurement capacity. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and advanced data skills in Excel. Core Competencies: Strong commercial negotiation, sharp attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and professional communication skills.
