Position Overview:

The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for managing and improving commercial execution processes across the order-to-cash lifecycle, including contract management, order fulfillment performance, and commercial data integrity. This role supports strategic customer accounts by analyzing pricing accuracy, order flow, and delivery performance, and applies independent judgment to recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support revenue realization. Working cross-functionally with Logistics, Operations, Finance, and Sales, the specialist develops reporting and forecasting insights, monitors key performance metrics, and identifies opportunities to optimize ERP workflows (e.g., SAP). The position also supports contract development and commercial initiatives by providing analytical input and ensuring alignment between contractual commitments and operational capabilities.

The role partners cross-functionally with Logistics, Operations, Tolling Partners, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure commercial performance aligns with contractual and business objectives, while actively identifying and implementing improvements to pricing, contract design, and fulfillment efficiency.

This position plays a key role in supporting revenue performance, margin optimization, and supply-demand alignment across strategic customer accounts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own the lifecycle of customer contracts in SAP, including designing andmaintainingvolume commitments, pricing structures, and payment terms in alignment with commercial strategy.
  • Analyze contract performance, pricing trends, and customer behavior to recommend adjustments that improve revenue, margin, and service levels.
  • Oversee order management workflows and ensure fulfillment aligns with contractual and commercial priorities.
  • Develop andmaintaincommercial reporting frameworks to support forecasting, revenue planning, and supply-demand optimization.
  • Interpret shipment, logistics, and production data to identify risks to contract performance and proactively mitigate disruptions.
  • Partner with Logistics, Operations, and Tolling Partners tooptimizefulfillment strategies and improve end-to-end execution efficiency.
  • Evaluate contract compliance and performance metrics, and define corrective actions when gaps areidentified.
  • Lead analysis and preparation of account performance reviews, including insights on profitability, volume trends, and commercial risk exposure.
  • Recommend, draft, and support negotiation of contract amendments, renewals, and new commercial agreements.
  • Identifyopportunities to improve SAP workflows, data integrity, and commercial processes, andleadimplementation of enhancements.
  • Serve as a key commercial advisor to internal stakeholders on pricing, contract structure, and customer account strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, contract analysis, or supply chain analytics.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, energy, or commodities-based industries preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems, including contract and order management modules.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing commercial data to support decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools for reporting and modeling.
  • Ability to travel ~10% as needed.
