ESP EnterprisesCapital Signage Project Specialist (Contract) Position Overview A large public transportation agency is seeking two Capital Signage Project Specialists to support a growing Wayfinding & Signage Program. These professionals will assist with the planning, coordination, documentation, production, and implementation of customer-facing signage across new transit facilities and infrastructure projects. This is a 12-month contract assignment supporting signage projects from design through installation, while collaborating with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and vendors. The role combines project coordination, contract administration, field verification, documentation management, and signage production support. Key Responsibilities Support the planning, execution, and delivery of capital signage and wayfinding projects. Assist with project management activities including schedules, budgets, procurement processes, and contract administration. Prepare, review, and maintain project documentation, correspondence, reports, presentations, and technical materials. Review architectural and construction drawings to verify sign locations and ensure alignment with project requirements. Conduct site surveys, field verification, inspections, punch-list reviews, and quality assurance activities. Track signage documentation, message schedules, production files, and project deliverables. Coordinate with graphic designers to develop and finalize production-ready signage artwork. Research materials, fabrication methods, products, and industry best practices. Monitor vendor performance, review invoices and change requests, and support contract compliance activities. Maintain project records, filing systems, and databases. Respond to inquiries from project stakeholders and provide customer-focused support. Collaborate with agency staff, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project partners. Provide administrative and technical support for signage program initiatives as assigned. Required Qualifications Experience supporting signage, wayfinding, environmental graphics, construction, architecture, or related projects. Knowledge of signage production methods, fabrication processes, and documentation standards. Experience with project coordination, project administration, or contract/vendor management. Ability to review and interpret architectural, engineering, or construction drawings. Understanding of contract administration processes including scopes of work, invoices, procurement documents, and change orders. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience preparing reports, presentations, recommendations, and project documentation. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with custom signage or code-required signage programs. Knowledge of graphic design principles and production workflows. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with FileMaker Pro, Smartsheet, or similar project tracking systems. Experience supporting projects in transportation, infrastructure, construction, facilities, or public-sector environments. Familiarity with field inspections and construction site coordination. Work Environment Hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days onsite each week. Work is performed in both office settings and active project/construction environments. Occasional site visits, inspections, and field verification activities are required.
