Southbound Freight Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and proactive Southbound Freight Dispatcher to join our team in Laredo, TX. Minimum 1 year of freight dispatching experience is REQUIRED. Southbound/Mexico freight experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to follow up and resolve issues independently in a fast-paced transportation environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor Southbound freight loads from pickup through delivery. Communicate directly with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal staff. Track and trace shipments and provide timely status updates. Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments. Follow up on delays, missed appointments, and other transportation issues. Request and maintain PODs and required shipment documentation. Accurately update load information and shipment status in the system. Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and carriers. Follow up on pending issues until completely resolved. Assist with other dispatch and transportation-related duties as needed. Requirements Minimum 1 year of freight dispatching experience REQUIRED. Southbound/Mexico freight experience strongly preferred. Experience communicating directly with drivers and carriers. Strong tracking, follow-up, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Dependable, punctual, and organized. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, shows initiative, follows through, and can resolve day-to-day dispatch issues without constant supervision.
