Primary Responsibilities The AERI Sourcing Specialist’s primary role is to provide end to end sourcing and sales support for the AERI Account Executive function including but not limited to: Partner with account executive(s) to qualify and input customer requisitions into the AERI proprietary sourcing tool/database. Sourcing and negotiation of daily and reoccurring customer requirements using internal and external tools and resources. Identify, qualify and manage both new and legacy suppliers. Tactical creation and management of customer and supplier purchase orders. Tactical/strategic support of 1 or more account executives. The AERI Sourcing Specialist will also be responsible for: Ensuring that procurement procedures are being adhered to. Updating and maintaining supplier records. Provide backup support for other sourcing specialists when absent. Corporate phone support as necessary. Actively participate in the ongoing review and improvement of supply chain procedures. Maintaining positive long term relationships with strategic suppliers. Expediting open orders to ensure on-time delivery in support of customer commitments. Position Location Costa Mesa, California Industry Independent Electronics Distribution Schedule Full-time Employee Status Regular Required Qualifications 3+ Years electronic component purchasing experience preferably in the distribution field. Strong understanding of electronic commodities and how they are packaged, sold and delivered to customers worldwide. Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s specifications for the various electronic commodities. Must have full working knowledge and proficiency with computer programs including: Excel, Word, Email and the Internet. Strong internal and external communications skills are absolutely required. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, organization skills are vital. The sourcing specialist is a critical support role with the AERI business model. A customer service first commitment and attitude is necessary.
