Sourcing Specialist
SLBSLB is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas . In this role, you will support sourcing initiatives for an assigned portfolio by managing supplier engagement activities, leading competitive bidding processes, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met. We are looking for someone who is analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable working across multiple priorities. This role provides the opportunity to influence supplier relationships, support strategic business decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain organization. Roles and Responsibilities Execute sourcing plans for assigned categories and projects. Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP activities, including supplier communication and bid evaluation. Select suppliers from approved supply bases and support supplier onboarding activities. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and agreements with external suppliers. Coordinate supplier reviews, audits, and qualification activities with cross-functional teams. Support contract development and execution alongside Sourcing Managers and Contract Specialists. Monitor project milestones and document sourcing activities, actions, and outcomes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen sourcing performance. Qualifications And Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or RFQ processes is preferred. Experience negotiating commercial terms and supplier agreements is preferred. Exposure to manufacturing, machined parts, or related industries is considered an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate options and make sound decisions. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Proficiency with business systems and the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies. Must currently reside in Houston, Texas, or the surrounding area and be able to work on-site in Sugar Land, Texas.
