To capitalize on our technical and market success, our team will execute large-scale projects that will define the bottom-line for the Starlink program. The functions within the department include procurement, planning and fulfillment, supplier development and quality, logistics, inventory management, negotiation of supplier contracts and pricing, and developing the commodity strategy.This is a high-profile, cross functional position that plays an integral role in enabling development and production flow for Starlink production. You will work in close coordination with engineering and manufacturing departments, executing effective, creative and smart supply chain strategies to achieve production goals. With integration taking place in-house, sourcing specialists are able to see their assemblies come to life every day!ResponsibilitiesNegotiate contracts, place purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices related to software, services, and other indirect categoriesManage preferred supplier network to support Indirect Starlink procurementCommunicate clearly and rapidly to influence decisions of vendors and senior leadershipResponsible for authoring of contract documents with the legal departmentInterpret engineering drawings and BOMsCreate sourcing strategies for all soft services, software, and legal categoriesDevelop a preferred supplier network and leverage it to minimize cost/maximize efficacySolve complex, open-ended problems with an emphasis on speed and efficiencyPerform reviews of vendor capabilitiesManagement of contracts ensuring performance of the supplier meets contract obligationsUnderstand interrelationships between contracts and terms while applying creativity and sound business reasoningUtilize negotiations to maximize value and cost savings benefit while lowering riskBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience working in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or 9+ years engineering in lieu of a degreePreferred Skills And ExperienceExperience with MRP or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, as well as, managing bill of materials, work orders, and purchase ordersExperience with forecasting, demand planning, and analysis across categories like MRO and VMICapability to prioritize multiple on-going projects and rapidly learn new manufacturing processesStrong track record for achieving results; must be able to reference wins and quantify impactStrong skills in data analysis using Excel, SQL, and PowerBISolid understanding of common manufacturing processes and machines across the Starlink ecosystemFamiliar with Indirect procurement and the intricacies of procuring and coordinating services, software, and other soft categoriesEffective written and verbal communications skills, with strong ability to communicate to all levels of internal personnelDemonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundariesHistory of self-learning & application of newly learned tools & techniquesAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsAmerican Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification, Six Sigma certification, or similar certificationsDemonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundariesHistory of self-learning & application of newly learned tools & techniquesAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsAdditional…
