Solutions Engineer, Supply Chain Modeling
Riverstone LogisticsCompany Summary Riverstone Logistics (RLX) is a big and bulky supply chain powerhouse delivering seamless final mile, middle mile, warehousing, fulfillment, and storage solutions through a nationally integrated platform. Founded in 2017 by five partners who believed logistics could be built around something bigger than moving freight, we began with furniture delivery and grew into a nationwide provider serving complex supply chains across the United States. We are a purpose-driven company. We exist to use our God-given talents and opportunities to love our neighbors, serve our communities, and improve our industry. That purpose shapes how we lead our teams, how we partner with our customers, and how we take ownership of every delivery. Our people, who we call Extra Milers, bring genuine integrity and care to every mile. If you lead well, communicate with clarity, and want your work to mean something, we want to meet you. If you're looking for a place where people genuinely matter, you've found it. Role Overview Mission: The Solutions Engineer, Supply Chain Modeling exists to turn messy client data into pricing and network designs that actually hold up on the warehouse floor — protecting RLX's margin and giving new accounts a clean start from day one. Core Objective: To design highly accurate, executable logistics solutions that drive profitable pricing strategies while supporting Operations through complex network integrations, empowering Riverstone to be the first fully integrated, coast-to-coast, big & bulky logistics company in North America. Who You Are ("The Ideal Candidate") You likely didn't start your career in a traditional pricing or finance department. You probably cut your teeth in physical operations — running cross-docks, high-volume fulfillment, or inbound networks — and taught yourself SQL, Python, or data modeling because legacy WMS and TMS platforms were too slow to solve the constraints you were actually facing on the floor. We need an operational hacker who builds scalable, data-driven solutions and executable financial models, not a desk-bound analyst who doesn't understand variable labor or peak-season realities. Key Characteristics We Are Looking For (Examples Below) Operational Hacker: You came up through physical operations, not a finance desk, and you built your technical skills to solve real floor problems. Margin-Minded: You don't stop at a clever model — you carry it through to pricing that actually protects RLX's margin. Floor-Tested: You pressure-test every model against site-level reality before it ships, because a routing assumption that dies on contact with the warehouse floor isn't a plan. Builder, Not Just User: You use tools like AI workflows and multi-agent frameworks to move faster, and you help shape how the team uses them next. Go the Extra Mile: When a new account needs someone on the ground to make the model real, you're on the plane. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Solutions Modeling & Commercial Pricing Pull together fragmented client RFP data and historical shipment profiles using modern data tools (Python, SQL) to design optimized middle-mile and final-mile networks. Build logistics models that accurately forecast variable labor, facility utilization, and transportation costs, and translate those models into margin-protecting commercial pricing. Use and help shape internal AI workflows and multi-agent frameworks (like Olympus) as accelerators — not replacements — for processing large datasets and turning around client-facing financial proposals quickly. Operational Alignment & Implementation Ground every modeled solution in physical execution reality, explicitly accounting for seasonal volume spikes, cross-dock bottlenecks, and aggressive SLA penalties. Partner directly with site-level leadership to pressure-test routing, headcount assumptions, and drop-trailer logic before they hit the warehouse floor. Serve as the techni…
