Solid Waste Collector/ Trash Thrower/ Garbage Truck Helper

Gordon J. Mohr Inc is looking for a garbage truck helper. Experienced throwers are preferred. We typically work Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday following a major holiday. You must be physically fit and willing to work all five days in the week ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Collect refuse from each stop pursuant to the specific contracts or levels of service within the serviced area. Safely manually manipulate carts, cans, and other types of containers. Safely haul, lift, and load items and materials into the truck. Assist the driver in backing situations to help guide and ensure safety while backing. Maintain a courteous and cordial manner with all customers encountered on the route. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 or older This is a strenuous job so being physically fit is a must Have reliable transportation, and be on time PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to squat sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, lift/carry required. The ability to lift/carry up to 75lbs. is required. This job is performed in and out of the truck.
