Snow Plow/Salt Truck Driver (Experience Required)
Lawn Lad, Inc.Snow Plow / Salt Truck Driver Commercial Snow & Ice Management Work | Lawn Lad Lawn Lad is hiring experienced Snow Plow and Salt Truck Drivers for our commercial snow operation. We’re looking for dependable drivers who know how to plow safely and efficiently, can take responsibility for an assigned route, document conditions and completed work, and work independently while staying in communication with our snow management team. This is weather-driven work. Snow events can occur days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and some events require extended shifts. When snow comes, our customers and the rest of the team are counting on us. What You’ll Do Operate company plow and/or salt trucks on assigned commercial routes Work safely and efficiently Follow the assigned route and snow-event plan Complete basic pre-trip equipment checks and report equipment problems Protect company equipment and customer property Communicate problems promptly Document conditions and completed work Stay engaged until assigned work is complete and you are released What We’re Looking For Previous snowplowing experience required; commercial experience strongly preferred Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Lawn Lad’s driver requirements Dependable availability for weather-driven snow events Good judgment and ability to work independently Salt/deicing experience is a plus for Salt Truck Driver assignments CDL is a plus, but not required Pay & Winter Season $23–$36/hour , based on experience, qualifications, and assignment. Winter work generally runs from November through mid-April and is weather dependent. Year-Round Opportunities Lawn Lad also has year-round landscape positions available for qualified candidates interested in continuing with us beyond the snow season. Owner-Operators / Subcontractors Experienced owner-operators are welcome to apply for subcontract snow work. Subcontractor rates range from $60–$85/hour , depending on equipment and experience. Routes are generally designed for 5–8 hours per event , but may run longer depending on snowfall and storm conditions. Subcontractors must demonstrate the equipment they intend to use and maintain commercial vehicle and general liability insurance.
