Duties Safely operate your personal vehicle, such as a van or box truck, to deliver small packages across designated routes in the St. Louis area Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks when necessary Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safety standards during all driving activities Navigate routes efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with recipients and obtaining signatures or proof of delivery when required Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records in compliance with company policies Perform safe lifting practices during package handling, including heavy lifting and moving items with proper manual handling techniques Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route driving and delivery operations Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or moving carts Skilled in commercial driving, including driving vans or box trucks with manual transmission where applicable Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight limits for workplace safety Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, communication, and delivery updates confidently Embark on an energetic journey where your driving skills meet exceptional service!
