Slitter Machine Operator / Forklift & Warehouse Associate

Kangde Xin America is a supplier and converter of thermal laminating films and specialty films serving customers throughout North America. We operate warehouses in Maryland, Illinois, Texas, and California, with film slitting and converting operations in Easton, MD. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined individual to join our Easton production team. This is a hands-on position working alongside an experienced slitting machine operator, with additional responsibilities supporting warehouse operations and forklift material handling. We are willing to train the right candidate in slitting operations. Prior forklift experience is required. Responsibilities Machine Operation & Production Assist with setting up and operating industrial slitting machines to cut large rolls of plastic film into custom widths. Learn to adjust machine blades, rollers, speeds, and tension to maintain product quality. Accurately measure film widths using both inches and millimeters. Follow production schedules and customer specifications. Inspect finished rolls for quality, proper dimensions, and labeling. Safely handle and position film rolls weighing approximately 50–75 lbs, using assistance or equipment when appropriate. Assist with basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Forklift & Warehouse Support Safely operate forklifts to move heavy film rolls and pallets. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers. Move materials between warehouse storage and production areas. Help the warehouse team with receiving, picking, organizing, and shipping materials. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Inventory & Computer Work Assist with tracking production quantities, finished rolls, and inventory movements. Learn to enter and verify inventory information in NetSuite , our inventory management system. Verify item numbers, roll dimensions, quantities, and storage locations. Help ensure inventory records match actual warehouse inventory. Qualifications Required: Previous forklift operating experience and ability to demonstrate safe operation. Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic calculations. Ability to handle physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, bending, and moving materials. Attention to detail, dependability, and a commitment to workplace safety. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and understand safety instructions. Preferred: Spanish-speaking ability to facilitate communication with our production team. Basic English communication skills for coordination with warehouse staff. Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory software. Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or warehouse experience. Experience working with roll materials, slitting equipment, or other industrial machinery.
