Silicon Wafer Planning Manager

Meet the Team The Silicon Wafer Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability of wafer and die supply to support manufacturing requirements and customer demand. This role translates demand forecasts into wafer requirements, manages supply plans with foundry and semiconductor partners, identifies capacity and material constraints, and drives mitigation strategies to protect customer commitments. The planner operates in a highly constrained, long-lead-time semiconductor environment where demand can exceed available capacity. Success requires strong analytical skills, disciplined planning, supplier coordination, and the ability to balance customer demand, inventory, capacity, yield, lead time, and supply risk. Your Impact Lead end-to-end wafer and die supply planning by translating finished-goods forecasts and production demands into foundry start schedules, inventory targets, and safety-stock strategies. This role actively manages foundry capacity, yield, cycle times, and upstream supplier performance to proactively identify shortages, execute allocation priorities across cross-functional leadership, and lead scenario/recovery planning to ensure continuous supply assurance and transparent delivery commits. Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred, with 3–7+ years of experience in semiconductor planning, wafer planning, material planning, production planning, or supply-chain management. · Experience working with semiconductor foundries, wafer fabrication, die supply, OSATs, optical components, or other long-cycle-time manufacturing environments is strongly preferred. have a strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, supply-demand balancing, inventory management, capacity planning, and advanced Excel or analytical tools. Preferred Qualifications: · Demonstrated experience operating in constrained and allocation-driven supply environments. · Experience working with contract manufacturers and outsourced manufacturing models. · Strong analytical capability and ability to convert complex supply-chain information into executive-level decisions. · Proven ability to influence Sales, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, suppliers, and senior leadership. · Have the capacity to see and articulate a vision that inspires change!
