Showroom Host & Design Assistant
Home ComfortShowroom Management - Manage the showroom customer experience by engaging visitors and generating leads. - Qualify and educate potential design clientele on the services we offer. - Help clients with product selection, materials, and finishes, including providing quotes and pricing. - Restock items on the showroom floor as they are sold (artwork, accessories, lamps, etc.) - Assist with stock inventory management, including orders, stock binders etc - Ensure showroom displays and merchandise are kept clean and presentable. - Handle general administrative tasks, including answering phones, filing, organizing, data entry, and checking out customers. - Update printed and digital price books and catalogs annually, ensuring catalogs are alphabetized periodically. - Run reports to research open purchase orders and work with designers to close open invoices. Design Support & Coordination - Meet with designers to review current projects and learn about upcoming projects. - Help designers source materials and products on a case-by-case basis. - Assist on installation days and go to job sites as requested. - Suggest ideas as new products arrive on the showroom floor. - Track and manage vendor orders and provide project updates to designers. - Learn the operations of Furniture Wizard by studying the SOP document for proper procedures. - Continuously improve your knowledge of products, brands, and best sellers. Purchasing & Order Tracking - Enter POs and invoices promptly. - Submit POs and track the entire process (acknowledgments, accuracy, lead times, arrival, and delivery). - Communicate with vendors as needed for research and orders. - Work with team on receiving products and coordinate the notification process in Furniture Wizard. Sample Library Maintenance - Put away fabrics, flooring, and tile samples daily to keep the library organized and presentable. - Remove dropped or discontinued fabrics and samples as required. - Help receive, unpack, and price inventory shipments.
