Shop Supervisor Mechanical PumpingSol has built a reputation as a leader in industrial packaged fluid handling solutions, with a team driven culture, promoting a collaborative environment. We are seeking a skilled, experienced Mechanical Shop Supervisor to join our team. As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the welding, fabrication, assembly and testing processes, ensuring the efficient Production of high-quality packaged pumping systems. This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong managerial and technical skills. Some of the Responsibilities are: · Manage workflow for multiple jobs, working closely with Shop Leadman, welders, mechanical assemblers and electrical technicians. · Manage and supervise a Team off 5 to 7 people, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance. · Communicate with clients about job progress. · Assist and coordinate with Office Manager and vendor to get items on time. · Develop and implement productions plans and schedules to meet customer demands. · Monitor all production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, office management, and quality control, to drive continuous improvement initiatives. · Oversee materials procurement and inventory control. · Implement and maintain MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to optimize Plant efficiency. · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. · Identify areas for process improvement and implement appropriate solutions. · Provide regular reports on Plant performance, including productivity, quality, and cost metrics. · Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. · Proficiency with the MS Office basic programs such as: Outlook, Excel, Word, and proper communication skills are required. · Flexibility and willingness to do whatever it takes, such as hands on assembly help and assisting with field commissioning of systems. · Candidates with 4+ years of supervisory experience are preferred. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (preferred) · Proven experience in Plant or Shop management or a similar role · Strong knowledge of Production management principles and practices · Familiarity with supply chain management concepts · Proficient project management and planning tools · Excellent critical thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement · Solid understanding of quality control processes and techniques · Strong social and leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. · Effective communication skills, both verbal and written We offer competitive compensation packages, including bonuses commensurate with experience.
