Shop Maintenance Coordinator

Job Overview The Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of facilities and equipment within the organization. This position involves overseeing shop maintenance activities, managing repair schedules, and coordinating with various departments to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed effectively and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in class 8 maintenance, shop and repair proccess management, along with excellent leadership skills to supervise a team of maintenance professionals. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage all shop maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of trucks and trailers. work with maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and efficiency. Oversee the Maintanence and repair, of trucks trailers and shop equipment. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage in shop and outside repair / breakdowns related to all company equipment upgrades or repairs, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory management, and equipment history. Skills Proficient in the use of computer systems, excel, fleet maintenance software, parts pricing and look up software. Tracking maintenance tasks and schedules. Knowledgeable in repairs and maintenance for class 8 trucks and trailers. parts purchasing and general repair. Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Strong repair and maintenance management skills to oversee equipment repairs from inception to completion. Effective leadership abilities to motivate team members and foster a collaborative work environment. Proficient in English and Spanish for clear communication across all levels of the organization.
