Shop Helper / Parts Driver

Company: SET Holdings Group, LLC Location: Dallas, TX (Home office/shop in Dallas; driving routes all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area) Job Type: Full-time Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour (Pay commensurate with experience) Job Summary We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated Shop Helper & Parts Driver to support our shop mechanic and field crew. In this role, your time will be split between assisting in the shop and running errands around the DFW metroplex to pick up parts, materials, and supplies. Because you will be supporting the backend operations, this role does not require field labor on the asphalt or concrete job sites . Key Responsibilities Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and construction materials for the shop and field crews across DFW. Assist the shop mechanic with maintenance, parts organization, and basic staging for our heavy equipment fleet. Safely load, secure, and unload parts, components, and supplies from company vehicles. Maintain accurate receipts and log parts picked up for tracking purposes. Perform general shop helper duties and keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. Qualifications & Requirements Valid Driver’s License with a verified clean driving record. Must meet company commercial auto insurance requirements (Minimum age of 25 or older required by our insurance policy for vehicle operation). Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred but not required. Basic mechanical knowledge is a strong bonus (experience with tools, basic vehicle maintenance, or parts identification). Experience operating, moving, loading, or sourcing parts for CAT (Caterpillar) heavy equipment —such as skid steers, excavators, brush rollers , and similar machinery—is a MAJOR bonus . Physical ability to lift heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 lbs routinely). Strong communication skills and a dependable, proactive work ethic.
