Shop Hand/Parts Runner

Overview True North Automotive is an automotive and fleet repair facility who service many of the largest fleets in Alberta. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Hand / Parts Runner person to support daily operations within our automotive and fleet repair facility. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience working in busy environments. The Shop Hand will play a vital part in maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring safety standards are upheld. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in the automotive industry. **CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE FOR A MIN 3 YEARS AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD ** Duties Perform general labor duties as assigned; cleaning, empty garbage, shoveling, moving vehicles, grass cutting Pick up parts at different locations around town Transporting units from shop yard to shop Operate forklift safely to move parts and supplies throughout the shop Support the setup, maintenance, and cleanup of workstations to ensure smooth workflow Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times during operations Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas as needed Support team members in various tasks to meet deadlines efficiently Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions Experience Familiarity with use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment is highly desirable Warehouse experience, including forklift operation, is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working in automotive industry will be beneficial Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to follow instructions accurately are essential for success in this role Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Language: English (required) Location: Fort McMurray, AB T9H 4B1 (required) Work Location: In person
