Shop Assistant

Job Overview We are looking for a local, year round shop assistant. 2-3x/week, M-F only, 4-5 hour shifts, $16-$18/hour. Summer & holiday season availability a must. Looking for reliable long term employees to grow with us! Responsibilities Process, prep, and package orders for both online retail and wholesale, this includes reading invoices and packing slips Prepare coffee orders, this includes measuring, mixing, grinding, weighing, and other similar kitchen tasks Operate coffee packaging equipment such as commercial grinders, sealers, etc... Deep clean equipment Support the maintenance and organization of the prep area, ensuring materials are stored & labeled correctly Collaborate with team members to complete all tasks Work independently Follow food safety guidelines and procedures rigorously to maintain a safe and clean working and food prep environment Clean and maintain shop Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, stock replenishment, and documenting movements within the manufacturing facility Qualifications High level of attention to detail "Good with numbers"- basic math proficiency Prior experience working in a kitchen or food service industry strongly preferred Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able to work on feet all day in a fast paced environment and be active during the whole shift Organizational skills & multi-tasking Task oriented Self-starter Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a small team or independently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining focus on high quality standards Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
