Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing product information and recommendations. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments, ensuring smooth checkout experiences. Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end. Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales and upselling opportunities. Maintain organized merchandising displays that attract customers and promote featured products effectively. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Support inventory management through stock replenishment, product organization, and assisting with stock counts as needed. Skills Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Previous experience in retail sales or technical sales enhances your ability to connect with customers and promote products confidently. Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for engaging with customers and team members professionally. Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling, transaction processing, and inventory counting. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and merchandising techniques is preferred. Excellent time management and organizational skills help ensure efficient store operations during busy periods. Demonstrated phone etiquette and customer service skills contribute to building lasting customer relationships. Ability to upsell products by understanding customer needs and presenting relevant options confidently.
