Shipping Yard Attendant

Responsible for organization of material storage, location transactions, delivery of material to production and returning material from production to storage locations. Loading product on trucks for shipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Equipment operation of Tow motor and combi Maintain the organization of material storage both in and outside of the building in all weather conditions. Will ensure that all material both raw and in process are in their designated locations. Responsible for executing all movement/location transactions in system including auditing locations to ensure accuracy. Cycle count raw material and communicate inventory levels to purchasing as needed Will ensure timely delivery of needed material to all production departments and removal of material utilizing constant communication via radio. Will perform the associated movement/location transactions. The material handler will be trained in the receiving and shipping processes to provide additional support as needed. Using lift trucks between 9k - 36k to handle product and material up to 40 inches long an in excess of 30,000 pounds Expected to both load and unload tractor-trailers safely, accurately and timely Minimum of 1 year industrial experience. · Forklift certified. · Basic computer skills · Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
