Shipping Technician, Fulfillment Pharmacy

Overview As a Shipping Technician, Fulfillment Pharmacy, you’ll help ensure medications are prepared, documented, and shipped accurately and securely. You’ll support pharmacy operations through careful order handling, data entry, and coordination with pharmacy staff, while protecting patient confidentiality and following applicable regulations. Your impact: Accurate, compliant shipments help patients and care teams receive the medications and information they need. Responsibilities Process medication orders from intake through shipment, using pharmacy software and accurate data entry. Prepare and package medications for shipment, following handling requirements and sterile IV admixture procedures when applicable. Support compounding medications and IV infusion workflows as assigned, using aseptic technique and established procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and provide responsive patient service and customer service when coordinating order questions. Follow pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements, drug regulation, and applicable state and federal pharmacy laws. Qualifications Pharmacy technician experience and familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and pharmacological medical terminology. Knowledge of medication administration, patient care, and safe medication handling. Experience in one or more relevant settings is helpful: LTC (long-term care) pharmacy, community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or clinical pharmacy. Additional relevant experience may include critical care, acute care, IV compounding, or hospital operations. Basic life support (BLS) and familiarity with state healthcare regulations are helpful.
