Shipping Team Member / Machine Operator (Day Shift)

Job Overview As a Shipping Team Member / Equipment Operator , you will play a key role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of our products. Utilizing your core skills in forklift operation, you will maintain accurate inventory and uphold strict quality standards. Your expertise in warehouse processes will be essential in maintaining compliance, ensuring safety, and contributing directly to the production of safe, high-quality food products. Key Responsibilities This position will take direction and report directly to the Shipping Supervisor. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, FDA regulations, HACCP protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure absolute product safety and quality. Load and unload trailers and move items throughout warehouse storage spaces and deep-freeze units. Transport raw materials and finished goods safely between the loading dock, warehouse storage, and production floors. Utilize barcode scanners to ensure accuracy of shipments and received items. Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary loading dock and warehouse environment. Float to and assist production team with equipment operation and other tasks as needed. Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain a company-issued Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license. Ability to read, write, and understand English order forms and instructions. Proficiency with basic computers, RF scanners, and inventory tracking systems. Familiarity with shipping software is a plus. Familiarity with GMP standards, food processing equipment, and packaging processes in a food production plant is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to follow precise instructions. Requirements Ability to work in varying temperatures, including prolonged shifts in a 30°F environment and temporary periods in a -10°F deep freezer. Ability to stand and walk the production floor for the duration of a shift. end, reach, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team. Ability to monitor and successfully execute multiple tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work within a team as well as individually with limited supervision.
