Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to lead our outbound logistics and warehouse team. In this role, you will drive daily shipping operations, streamline warehouse workflows, and ensure customer orders are accurately processed and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Oversee daily outbound shipping operations, ensuring accurate order picking, packing, labeling, and timely dispatch according to customer and carrier guidelines. Team Management & Development: Supervise, schedule, train, and mentor shipping staff. Lead daily huddles, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a high-performing, safety-first team culture. Logistics & Carrier Coordination: Partner with freight carriers, parcel services, and 3PL providers to schedule pickups, track shipments, resolve transit issues, and optimize freight costs. Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce OSHA regulations, internal safety standards, and proper equipment operation guidelines (e.g., forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks). Inventory & Systems Oversight: Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track order statuses, maintain inventory accuracy, and resolve shipping discrepancies. Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-shipment inspections on outgoing orders and custom packaging to minimize damage in transit and ensure compliance with quality standards. Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks, implement 5S/Lean methodologies, and execute workflow enhancements to boost efficiency and reduce fulfillment errors. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 2–3+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment (manufacturing context preferred). Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with WMS, ERP platforms, and major carrier software (e.g., ShipStation, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager). Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of team building, conflict resolution, and clear cross-departmental communication. Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing schedules, and solve time-sensitive logistics challenges. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate standard warehouse material handling equipment.
