Shipping Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Process shipments through multiple carriers using SEL and external business systems. 2. Meet quality and production goals in assigned areas of responsibility. 3. Ensure compliance with customer requested delivery methods and international export regulations. 4. Regularly communicate with Customers and Support staff to troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues. 5. Prepare shipping containers and pallets in accordance with SEL standards; schedule and coordinate pick up with carriers. 6. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 7. Understand, Create, Simplify. 8. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds Knowledge of packing materials and shipping requirements Ability to follow established work schedule and procedures Strong math, documentation, writing, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications Previous Shipping Experience Experience in fork-lift truck operation Physical Requirements Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds Ability to work in a standing position for 8 hours Competitive pay.
