At PVS Metals, our Shipping and Receiving team is the backbone of our operation — moving raw materials in, finished parts out, and keeping everything in between flowing without a hitch. We're hiring a Material Handler for our 2nd shift team, where you'll earn a shift differential on top of competitive base pay and still have your mornings free every day. This is a hands-on, active role where your reliability and hustle directly impact whether our customers get what they need on time. The Details Starting pay: $20.00/hr Shift differential: +$2.00/hr — bringing your effective rate to $22.00/hr Hours: Mon–Fri, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM Your mornings are always free What You'll Do Move and stage raw materials, semi-finished parts, and packaging supplies across the plant using forklifts and overhead cranes Assist with packaging, palletizing, and loading/unloading trucks accurately and efficiently Transport semi-finished parts and customer-specific racks, totes, and pallets to designated areas Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes in compliance with all safety procedures Maintain clean, organized work areas and report any equipment defects immediately Support the team in meeting quality standards and on-time delivery goals Represent PVS Metals professionally in all interactions with drivers, vendors, and crew members What We're Looking For Reliable, focused, and ready to bring energy and attention to detail to every shift Team player who supports and encourages the crew around them Forklift and/or overhead crane experience — a plus, but we'll train the right candidate Strong organizational and problem-solving skills A self-starter mentality — you see what needs to be done and you do it Positive attitude and a commitment to safety and quality on every task What's In It For You ✅ $22.00/hr effective (base + shift differential) ✅ Your mornings are always free — 2nd shift starts at noon ✅ Monday–Friday schedule — weekends off ✅ 9 paid holidays + PTO — accrual begins immediately ✅ Health, Dental & Vision insurance ✅ Life/AD&D and Disability coverage ✅ 401(k) with company match ✅ Wellness program with premium incentives ✅ Opportunities to grow and develop new skills within Owen Industries ✅ A supportive team environment where your hard work is recognized Benefits begin the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
