(CEI) is looking for a dependable Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team in Gate City, Virginia. Our Shipping/Receiving team plays an important role in keeping our operation running smoothly. You'll help receive incoming shipments, prepare outgoing shipments, move and organize inventory, and make sure products and materials are handled accurately and efficiently. Previous shipping or warehouse experience is helpful, but it is not required. We're looking for someone who shows up, works hard, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in doing the job right. We'll provide the training you need to learn our systems and procedures. What You'll Do As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will help receive, organize, process, and ship electronic equipment and other materials moving through our facility. Your responsibilities may include: Receive and unload incoming shipments. Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and other documentation. Inspect shipments for obvious damage, shortages, or discrepancies. Accurately enter and update information in our computer-based system. Label, sort, organize, and move incoming equipment and materials. Pick and prepare equipment and materials for outgoing shipments. Pack items securely to help prevent damage during transportation. Prepare boxes, pallets, shipping labels, and required paperwork. Load outgoing shipments for carrier pickup. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records. Keep inventory and work areas organized. Safely use pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment as required. Follow established safety, quality, and shipping procedures. Assist with inventory counts and locating materials when needed. Work with other departments to keep equipment and materials moving efficiently through the facility. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform other shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as needed. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone we can count on. Is comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift. Can safely lift, carry, move, and handle boxes and equipment. Understands the importance of handling customer equipment carefully. Has a valid driver's license. Is legally authorized to work in the United States. Shipping or Warehouse Experience Is a Plus — Not a Requirement You do not need years of warehouse experience to apply. Experience with any of the following can be helpful: Shipping and receiving Warehousing Inventory Order picking and packing Material handling Stocking Loading and unloading trucks UPS, FedEx, or other shipping systems Pallet jacks or similar equipment Computer-based inventory or warehouse systems Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, willing to work, and able to learn.
