Shipping Receiving Warehouse Worker

Turri's Italian Foods is looking for a motivated shipping & receiving worker to handle packaging and shipping in our Harrison Twp., MI warehouse. Our Shipping & Receiving position requires ability to work independently, be detail orientated, dependable and have experience in verifying and keeping records on shipments. Shipping and Receiving hours/responsibilities: 1st Shift-7a-3:30p Operate Hi-lo/Rider Pallet Jack to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. Operate handheld device for scanning loads and transfer of product between plants. Communicate effectively with department, plant and company personnel to ensure smooth operation of the process. Know how to store and stack product in the freezers and racking systems. Responsible for packaging and sending out product samples. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Experience with Microsoft applications/scanning systems/invoicing. Experience processing electronic records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Scan, pick, and build sales orders and transfers between warehouses Prepare, review, and maintain warehouse and Shipping/Receiving paperwork Organize and maintain clean storage areas for dry and frozen products Assist in receiving purchase orders Operate a forklift as needed Load and unload trucks Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned by the warehouse manager Ability to work in three (3) warehouses on as needed basis (Harrison Twp., Roseville or Chesterfield). Home base is Harrison Twp. warehouse.
