Shipping & Receiving Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage incoming and outgoing materials, parts, and shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all shipments are processed accurately, materials are received and inspected properly, and inventory records are maintained in a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare outgoing shipments according to customer requirements and shipping instructions. Package, label, and prepare products for shipment to ensure safe delivery. Create shipping documents, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required paperwork. Schedule pickups with freight carriers and parcel delivery services. Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipping addresses for accuracy. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Notify the appropriate department of damaged, missing, or incorrect materials. Coordinate with production, purchasing, quality control, and other departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. Follow company procedures and safety requirements. Qualifications Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is a plus. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or shipping software. Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials as required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely handle packages, parts, and shipping materials. Skills Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, carriers, and customers. Experience in warehouse operations including stocking, packaging, picking & packing, load & unload activities. Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week Work Location: In person
