Position Summary Laurelcrest is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support our daily logistics, fulfillment, and warehouse operations. This position plays an essential role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, shipments are prepared and dispatched on time, and incoming materials are properly received, inspected, and documented. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Key Responsibilities Order Processing & Outbound Fulfillment Process and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently according to sales orders, pick lists, and established procedures. Verify product descriptions, quantities, lot numbers, and other order details prior to packing and shipment. Inspect and audit outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, product integrity, and compliance with shipping requirements. Properly package, label, and prepare products for shipment in accordance with company standards and carrier requirements. Coordinate daily outbound shipments and assist with transportation scheduling and carrier pickups. Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, records, and tracking information. Assist with investigating shipment discrepancies, delays, missing packages, and other logistics-related issues. Receiving & Inventory Support Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, supplies, and freight. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other receiving documentation. Identify and promptly report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and coordinate with purchasing or management to resolve discrepancies. Accurately process receiving transactions and maintain organized documentation. Assist with inventory accuracy, material organization, and stock-level monitoring. Support inventory counts, reconciliation activities, and other warehouse operations as needed. Operational Support & Communication Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping, receiving, and warehouse work areas. Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety requirements, and quality standards. Communicate proactively with supervisors, sales, purchasing, production, and other departments regarding order status, inventory availability, and shipment concerns. Identify potential delays, discrepancies, or operational issues and escalate them promptly. Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks, reports, and correspondence. Assist with process improvements that support accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
