Shipping/Receiving Specialist $20/Hour Day Shift Monday - Friday

Job Title : Shipping & Receiving Specialist Job Summary : The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of goods in and out of the organization. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of shipments, receiving inventory, and maintaining proper documentation while upholding company standards for safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities :· Shipping : Prepare, verify, and process outbound shipments, including picking, banding, packing, and labeling items for delivery.· Receiving : Inspect and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists. Record and document discrepancies or damaged goods.· Scheduling Pickups : Coordinate pickup schedules with carriers to ensure timely transportation of goods. Maintain communication with logistics providers for efficient delivery operations.· Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure proper storage of materials and products.· Documentation : Complete shipping and receiving paperwork, update records in the company’s inventory system, and ensure compliance with all regulations.· Collaboration : Communicate with internal teams, such as procurement and production, to resolve any shipping or receiving issues.· Safety : Adhere to company safety standards, operate forklifts and other equipment (if certified), and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Skills :· Alignment with DTI’s values: o Great Teammate, Strives for Excellence, Tenacious, and a Problem Solver.· High school diploma or equivalent.· At least 3 years of experience in Shipping & Receiving is required· Strong organizational and time-management skills.· Proficiency in inventory software and shipping tools.· Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Preferred Skills:· Forklift certification.· Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
