About the Role The Shipping & Receiving Specialist role at Greene Manufacturing (GMI) is designed to stabilize and standardize all warehouse operations. The primary focus of this position is to manage the full lifecycle of materials, beginning with the rigorous inspection and reconciliation of incoming raw materials and components against purchase orders and packing slips. Beyond physical handling, the Specialist is responsible for ensuring that physical inventory consistently matches electronic records within the ERP system. By maintaining precise labeling standards and coordinating closely with Admin and Production Scheduling, this role acts as the central point of organization to minimize errors and ensure a seamless flow from receipt to final shipment. What You’ll Do Receiving & Inspection: Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and general inventory for damage or discrepancies prior to formal receipt. Reconciliation & Documentation: Perform three-way reconciliation by verifying the Purchase Order against the packing slip and the packing slip against the physical inventory received. Maintain comprehensive records and physical forms to ensure a clear audit trail for all incoming goods. Material Distribution: Distribute received materials to the appropriate production departments or storage locations immediately following processing, maintaining an understanding of production flow and material needs. Shipping & Outbound Logistics: Organize outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and efficient warehouse flow. Act as the primary point of contact for applying shipping labels to all outgoing products to ensure accuracy and eliminate shipping confusion. Systems Management: Manage electronic records within the ERP system to ensure physical inventory levels are synchronized with digital data. Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with the Administrative and Production Scheduling teams to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and optimize the flow of materials. What We’re Looking For Education: High School diploma or equivalent at minimum. Experience: 1-2 Years previous experience in a similar role, such as inventory, logistics, or shipping and receiving. Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and vendor and relationship management skills. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting problem-solving skills. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Character: Good work ethic and a team player mindset. Must be willing to listen, learn, and support company policies.
