Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping, Receiving & QA/QC Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments, ensure quality standards are maintained through rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures, and support efficient warehouse operations. Your expertise in inventory management systems, shipping logistics, and fabrication processes will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers while maintaining compliance with regulations. Shipping and Receiving Receive, inspect, document, and properly store incoming materials, equipment, tools, and supplies. Compare received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and vendor documentation. Verify material quantities, dimensions, grades, specifications, and condition upon receipt. Prepare materials and equipment for shipment, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers. Generate and maintain shipping and receiving records. Coordinate deliveries and pickups with vendors, drivers, purchasing personnel, project managers, and operations. Report shortages, overages, incorrect materials, damaged shipments, and missing documentation. Assist with inventory counts and maintain organized material storage areas. Ensure materials are properly tagged and identified to preserve traceability. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized. QA/QC and Material Documentation Read, interpret, and verify Material Test Reports and Certified Material Test Reports. Confirm that MTR information matches the physical material, purchase order, drawings, and project specifications. Verify heat numbers, lot numbers, material grades, dimensions, specifications, and applicable industry standards. Review chemical composition, mechanical properties, testing results, and material certifications for compliance. Confirm that the manufacturer, material specification, grade, and heat number are clearly documented. Maintain material traceability from receipt through storage, issuance, fabrication, and shipment. Ensure heat numbers and identification markings remain transferred and traceable when materials are cut or separated. Perform visual receiving inspections for damage, corrosion, defects, incorrect markings, or other nonconforming conditions. Organize and maintain MTRs, certificates of conformance, inspection reports, calibration records, and other quality documentation. Assemble turnover packages, data books, and project quality records as required. Identify and document nonconforming materials and place them in a designated hold or quarantine area. Notify management of discrepancies and assist with nonconformance reports and corrective actions. Work with purchasing, fabrication, project management, and vendors to obtain missing or corrected documentation. Assist with internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
