Job Requirements & Qualifications - Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required - Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics role - Technical Skills: Proficiency with shipping software (FexEx and UPS) and inventory systems (ERP, Excel) - Equipment: Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days - Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds - Hours Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 2pm Key Skills - Attention to Detail: Crucial for spotting shipment inaccuracies and damaged freight - Communication: Necessary for coordinating with logistics providers and internal team members - Time Management: Essential for meeting strict daily carrier pickup Core Responsibilities - Receiving Operations: Unload delivery trucks, unpack boxes and inspect items for damage or shortage - Verification: Cross-reference incoming shipments against bills of lading, purchase orders and packing slips to guarantee inventory accuracy - Shipping operations: Pack, seal, weight and affix labels onto outbound materials according to carrier specifications - Documentation and Logistics: Prepare shipping paperwork, generate bills of lading, schedule carrier pickups and determine the most cost-effective shipping methods.
