SHIPPING & RECEIVING MANAGER

We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking SHIPPING & RECEIVING MANAGER to join our growing team. About the role Advanced Equipment Corporation is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Manager to run our department and keep domestic and international shipments moving on time and in compliance. You will own export documentation from start to finish, lead a hands-on shipping and receiving crew, and partner with purchasing, production, and customer service to get the right equipment in and out the door. Location: Fullerton, CA Schedule: Full-time, 6am-4:30pm M-Th, 6am-2:30pm F, 6am-1pm Sat Reports to: Productions Manager Job Duties: International shipping and customs Prepare and file customs and export paperwork: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading (ocean and air) Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers on bookings, rates, and clearance Apply Incoterms correctly and resolve holds, delays, and documentation issues Keep accurate export records for audits and regulatory retention Crew leadership Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate the shipping and receiving crew Set daily priorities so orders ship on time and incoming freight is received accurately Oversee receiving: check deliveries against purchase orders, document damage or shortages, and file carrier claims Ensure heavy and high-value equipment is crated, packed, and secured to protect it in transit Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and timely system transactions Enforce safe forklift operation, OSHA standards, and a clean, organized warehouse Track KPIs such as on-time shipping, receiving accuracy, and freight cost, and drive improvements Required 1+ years in shipping and receiving or logistics, including 1+ years supervising a crew Hands-on experience preparing international export documentation Working knowledge of Incoterms Experience with LTL, FTL, parcel, ocean, and air freight Comfort with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Excel Strong organization, attention to detail, and clear communication Forklift certification, or ability to obtain it High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience shipping heavy, industrial, or capital equipment Bilingual English/Spanish What we offer Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance (paid in full for employee & family) 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Benefits We offer an outstanding benefits package for our employees and their families, including: 100% Employer-Paid Medical Insurance for you and your dependents 100% Employer-Paid Dental Insurance for you and your dependents 100% Employer-Paid Vision Insurance for you and your dependents Company-paid Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Competitive Pay (based on experience) Full-Time Position Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Steel Fabrication : 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Fullerton, CA 92833 (Required) Work Location: In person
