Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods within our distribution center, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving operations. Your expertise with forklifts, inventory management software, and warehouse logistics will help us maintain seamless order fulfillment and uphold trade compliance standards. Duties Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks, move inventory within the warehouse, and prepare shipments for dispatch Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using inventory management systems and update records accurately through data entry Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment while ensuring proper packaging and labeling in compliance with shipping & receiving protocols Maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software such as AS400 or similar platforms Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to support inventory accuracy and warehouse distribution efficiency Assist with warehouse organization by stocking shelves, managing storage locations, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics roles with a focus on shipping & receiving functions Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating weights or dimensions of shipments Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order fulfillment processes, packaging standards, and trade compliance regulations Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking, packing, labeling, and documentation Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external carriers Join our team today to be part of a vibrant environment where your skills drive operational excellence!
