Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator
Burton Industries, Inc.We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials within our warehouse, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your expertise in forklift operation, inventory management, and logistics will help us meet production demands and uphold our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, to load and unload trucks, and transport materials throughout the warehouse Verify incoming and outging shipments, attach paperwork and labels. Prepare outgoing shipments by packing products securely and accurately following shipping logistics procedures Maintain accurate records of inventory Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance and proper functioning Support inventory management efforts by conducting cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies Skills Proven experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including stocking, packaging, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation Ability to communicate effectively with team members and support customer service efforts related to order processing Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Vision insurance Work Location: In person
