Shipping & Receiving Forklift OperatorJob Overview High Performance Metal Finishing Inc. (HPMF) is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to support our daily operations. This position is responsible for receiving, moving, organizing, and shipping materials while maintaining accurate records and ensuring products are handled properly. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety procedures and shipping instructions. Responsibilities Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently. Verify incoming materials and outgoing orders for accuracy, quantity, and condition. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as trained and authorized. Receive, stock, organize, and move materials to designated storage and production areas. Pick, package, label, and stage orders for shipment according to customer requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Identify and report damaged materials, shipping discrepancies, and inventory issues. Maintain an organized work area and follow all company safety procedures. Communicate with production, shipping, and other team members to support daily schedules. Assist with other warehouse and material-handling duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Previous forklift and material-handling experience preferred. Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred. Ability to read and follow work instructions, shipping documents, and customer requirements. Basic math skills and attention to detail when verifying quantities and recording information. Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team. Dependable, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to work around moving equipment and follow established safety procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required by the job. Ability to safely operate a forklift and handle materials in a manufacturing environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
