Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support daily operations at our busy distribution warehouse. Working hours from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Three-month prohibation. The successful candidate will independently coordinate inbound and outbound truck activities, manage driver check-ins and check-outs, assign dock doors, prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs), and process freight-related documentation and invoices. Key Responsibilities Manage daily inbound and outbound truck check-ins and check-outs. Verify driver information, carrier details, appointment schedules, and shipment paperwork. Assign dock doors and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient loading and unloading. Prepare, review, and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), ensuring all required driver signatures are obtained. Verify purchase orders, shipment details, pallet counts, and shipping documentation. Review freight invoices and assist with resolving billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of truck arrivals, departures, and shipment documentation. Communicate with carriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and management regarding shipment status and delays. Identify and report operational issues to the Logistics Manager. Support other daily transportation and warehouse administrative activities as needed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse logistics, transportation coordination, or a related field. Experience working in a distribution center or third-party logistics (3PL) environment preferred. Familiarity with BOLs, PODs, freight invoices, and shipping procedures. Ability to independently manage multiple inbound and outbound trucks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications. Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management systems (TMS) preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
