Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing merchandise, materials, and shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all shipments are prepared accurately, documented properly, and dispatched in a timely manner to customers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders. This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth logistics operations and supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. Responsibilities Prepare bills of lading or receipts for products, parts, and miscellaneous materials to facilitate shipments. Record quantities of items received or shipped and verify that orders are complete and accurate. Wrap, tie, or securely package materials in envelopes, boxes, or other containers suitable for shipping. Stamp, type, or write addresses on packages to ensure proper delivery information. Manage outgoing orders by coordinating with carriers and ensuring timely dispatch. Receive incoming shipments, inspect items for damage or discrepancies, and organize storage as needed. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records to track inventory movement. Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations. Qualifications Proven experience in shipping and receiving roles or related logistics functions is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to operate basic shipping tools such as scales, barcode scanners, and packaging equipment. Good communication skills for coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and team members. Ability to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods as required. Basic computer skills for recording data and managing shipping documentation. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
