Prepare orders for shipment according to the packing slip. Pull items from stock and incoming receipts to complete orders. Prepare shipping paperwork and labels. Arrange delivery or pick-up of orders through freight companies, courier services, and other carriers. Receive shipments for the entire company. Unload delivery trucks and inspect incoming shipments. Verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders. Record and research receiving discrepancies, shortages, damages, or incorrect items and communicate findings to the appropriate department. Forward all receiving documentation to the appropriate department. Put away inventory and maintain accurate inventory locations. Put items away in designated warehouse locations. Plan location layouts and relocate new and existing inventory as needed. Documents and maintain accurate inventory locations within the system. Assist with researching inventory discrepancies and support cycle count activities to ensure inventory accuracy. Convert drums and totes into 5-gallon pails and apply appropriate labeling. Safely transfer products from drums and totes into smaller containers while following company procedures and labeling requirements. Repackage Advanced Supply tooling and other products. Repackage products as needed for inventory, shipping, customer requirements, or internal warehouse operations. Operate warehouse equipment safely. Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move inventory throughout the warehouse and load/unload trucks. Employees are expected to successfully complete company-provided forklift certification after 90 days of hire and maintain certification as required. Support warehouse operations and customer service activities . Answer incoming phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or assisting customers and team members as needed. Assist customers with will-call pickups and provide support to delivery drivers and carriers, including UPS, FedEx, freight companies, and other couriers. Ensure a professional and positive experience for customers, vendors, and delivery personnel while supporting daily warehouse activities. Other duties as assigned . Perform other miscellaneous duties, responsibilities, and projects as required to support warehouse and company operations. Requirements 1+ years of related shipping/receiving experience preferred. Ability to read and comprehend a packing slip, purchase order, invoice and other business forms. Ability to do basic arithmetic; skill level normally acquired through the completion of high school. Basic computer skills. Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must successfully obtain Hazardous Materials (HazMat) certification after one year of hire and maintain certification as required. Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one. Monday – Friday, 8:15 am – 5:15 pm. Additional Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. on a daily basis, up to 45 lbs. occasionally. Standing and walking approximately 90% of the time. Frequent bending, stooping and reaching above the shoulders. Repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and upper body while picking, packing, unpacking, loading and unloading shipped goods and inventory items.
