Position Summary The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing shipping documentation, and supporting warehouse operations. This role works closely with purchasing, sales, transportation, and operations teams to ensure efficient material flow and timely order fulfillment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation. Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly. Accurately enter receiving and shipping information into company systems. Prepare, package, label, and process outbound shipments to customers, vendors, and company locations. Coordinate freight shipments with carriers and transportation providers. Create and maintain shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, shipping labels, and freight paperwork. Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment. Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory control activities. Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas. Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup. Assist customers and delivery drivers with pickups and deliveries. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and warehouse procedures. Support warehouse, logistics, and operations teams as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations preferred. Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes. Experience with Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipping documentation preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and warehouse management systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday. Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
