Position Summary The Shipping / Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving inbound inventory, organizing warehouse stock, pulling customer orders, inspecting products for quality, packing shipments, and preparing orders for delivery. Success in this role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Operations
• Pick products accurately from warehouse inventory based on sales orders
• Verify item quantities, colors, sizes, and specifications before shipment
• Package orders securely to prevent damage during transit
• Print and apply shipping labels and documentation
• Stage completed shipments for carrier pickup
• Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on schedule
Receiving Operations
• Receive incoming inventory and deliveries
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips
• Inspect incoming merchandise for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
• Unload, label, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and organization
Quality Control
• Conduct detailed inspections of products before shipment
• Identify and report defects, damages, or inconsistencies
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and presentation
• Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
Warehouse Support
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Follow company safety procedures and warehouse best practices
• Support additional warehouse and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, fulfillment, or logistics experience
• Experience using shipping software and barcode scanners
• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified
• Inventory control experience
