Shipping & Receiving Associate

About Us We are a growing bonded 3PL warehouse in Carol Stream, IL, specializing in container unloading, Amazon FBA and Walmart outbound shipments, B2B distribution, and e-commerce fulfillment. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Inventory Associate to manage dock paperwork, verify inventory counts, and ensure accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments. Key Responsibilities Check in inbound containers and trucks upon arrival. Verify carton and pallet counts against Bills of Lading (BOLs) and packing lists. Document shortages, overages, and damaged freight, including taking photos before drivers or unloading crews leave. Prepare outbound shipping documents, including BOLs, shipping labels, and pallet/carton counts. Process shipments for Amazon FBA, Walmart, and LTL/FTL carriers. Check in pickup drivers and help coordinate the daily dock schedule. Manage Amazon check-ins and pickups between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Enter all inbound receipts and outbound shipments into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) on the same day. Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure system accuracy. Maintain organized and accurate shipping and receiving documentation. Communicate with warehouse leads and dispatch to keep daily operations running smoothly. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control. Strong attention to detail and accurate counting skills. Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Excel, and warehouse inventory software (WMS). Ability to read and understand shipping documents, BOLs, and packing lists. Strong organizational and communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to start work early. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with Amazon FBA or Walmart distribution center shipments. Experience working in a bonded warehouse or handling in-bond freight. Forklift or pallet jack experience/certification. Previous experience coordinating inbound and outbound dock operations.
