We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team. This is a hands-on position that combines shipping and receiving responsibilities with operating our scale house and assisting with the movement of materials throughout our facility. What We Offer Starting wage: $22.50/hour Monday to Friday schedule — no weekends! Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM 3% employer RRSP match after 3 months Extended benefits after 3 months , including: Dental Medical Vision Life Insurance Stable, full-time employment Opportunity to learn additional equipment and develop new skills Team-oriented work environment The Role As a Shipping & Receiving / Scale House Team Member , your responsibilities will include: Operate the scale house and accurately scale trucks in and out of the facility . Record truck weights and shipment information accurately. Verify incoming and outgoing loads and ensure required documentation is completed. Communicate with truck drivers, suppliers, customers, and internal staff in a professional manner. Receive incoming materials, products, and shipments. Verify quantities and inspect materials for visible damage or discrepancies. Prepare materials and finished products for shipment. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Organize and maintain inventory and materials within the facility. Prepare shipping paperwork, labels, scale tickets, and related documentation as required. Safely move materials throughout the facility. Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment as required. Coordinate with production and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping, receiving, and scale-house area. Report damaged materials, discrepancies, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as required to support daily operations. What We're Looking For Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset. Previous scale-house or truck-scale experience is an asset. Previous experience in a manufacturing, recycling, scrap, or industrial environment is an asset. Forklift experience is an asset. A current forklift licence/certification is preferred but not required. Candidates with previous forklift experience or an expired/invalid certification are encouraged to apply. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable communicating with truck drivers and other visitors. Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately enter information. Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment. Ability to safely lift and move materials as required. Good communication and customer-service skills. Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player . Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures. Who Will Succeed in This Role? The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, accurate, and safety-conscious . You are comfortable working with truck drivers and handling documentation, while also being willing to step into a hands-on role when needed. Accuracy is especially important in this position, as you'll be responsible for ensuring truck weights, shipments, and related information are recorded correctly.
