Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Associate

Contech USA builds custom power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial customers. We’re a small, hands-on team in Goddard, and we’re growing. Our Shipping & Receiving Clerk keeps production supplied with the right parts and makes sure every finished unit leaves the building complete, protected, and on time. What you’ll do Unload incoming freight and check quantities and part numbers against purchase orders and packing slips Inspect deliveries for damage, note it on the carrier’s receipt, and report it the same day Set aside questionable or damaged material in the hold area and let the right people know Enter receipts and route paperwork to purchasing and accounting Label, put away, and organize material so it’s easy to find Pull and stage parts and kits so production builds are ready to go Help with cycle counts and physical inventory, and report shortages Pick, pack, crate, and label finished products and parts for shipment Check every shipment against the sales order before it leaves, including serial numbers when required Prepare packing lists and bills of lading, schedule freight pickups, and track shipments to delivery Block, brace, and wrap large equipment so it arrives undamaged Keep the dock, stockroom, and aisles clean, clear, and safe You’ll operate a forklift and pallet jack daily. If you’re not certified yet, we’ll get you certified within your first 30 days. What we’re looking for 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience Forklift certification, or willingness to get certified within 30 days of hire Accuracy with counts, part numbers, and paperwork Basic computer skills (email, Excel, data entry) The ability to read part numbers, packing slips, and purchase orders correctly Organized and able to work independently to meet shipping deadlines Clear communication with drivers, vendors, and coworkers Reliable attendance Experience with an inventory or ERP system, LTL freight, or crating large equipment is a plus High school diploma or GED required Room to grow Contech is growing, and so is our shipping and receiving team. You’ll learn our products, customers, and systems from the ground up, and people who show accuracy and ownership get more responsibility.
